Hydrophobic SandHydrophobic sand is the result of a patented treatment process that causes ordinary sand to repel water. This process modifies the microscale structure of each sand grain to create a lasting cushion of air that surrounds the grain and repels water.
This hydrophobic sand is non-toxic and retains many physical properties of ordinary sand. It has thermal, acoustic and electrical insulating properties and is stress-resistant. Its hydrophobicity means that it prevents corrosion and is anti-fungal. It flows like natural sand under all ambient conditions.
