Aluminum Multiflector

Fusing aluminum foil to an acrylic-urethane mesh using a proprietary technique produces a durable, crumpled surface which dramatically increases reflected light.

Ordinary, flat aluminum foil reflects at 1 angle -- the light strikes and is reflected back off. Because of its convoluted surface, Aluminum Multiflector bounces incident light at between 109 and 127 different angles. Because it is bonded to the acrylic-urethane mesh backing, the foil will retain its crumpled topography.

Applications

Aluminum Multiflector has many potential applications. In agriculture, AM can be placed under trees in order to:

1. Increase sugar level in fruits while on the tree by increasing incident light;
2. Scare away birds;
3. Prevent bugs and insects from eating leaves by eliminating under-leaf shade.
